2014 Annual Report and Reflections

On reflection, 2014 was a momentous year for Free Range Chicks. In January 2014 the Trustees implemented a new structure and we have seen amazing fruit.

  • Love in Action (Evangelism) was launched, headed up by Beth, whose team led a very successful National Conference.
  • Dignity (Social Action), a global campaign for girls in Malawi, began:

o   Dignity works in partnership with African Child Trust and Builders House and aims to raise awareness for the girls in Malawi who need menstruation provision to keep them in school

o   We launched the new website www.dignityproject.co.uk, which tells the story about the project and how people can engage with it

o   We raised £9,300 in 2015, a fantastic amount, and are very thankful to God for people’s generosity

  • Women of Influence: We saw the development of and mentoring/spiritual support of women in leadership roles via:

o   The launching of our Women of Influence ministry at/with UCB

o   Leaders retreats with a ‘Breakthrough’ focus – and boy did we see some breakthroughs! We praise God for the many testimonies of women whose lives and situations have been changed through this ministry.

  • FRC Passion: We have seen the development of a group committed to interceding for those who feel lost or are crying out for help. Thank you Pearl for all you have pioneered. May this ministry grow from strength to strength as we petition heaven for His transforming and releasing presence on earth!
  • Communication: We also saw the development of our communication through Alison writing newly designed newsletters and Fiona taking charge of the website. Our social networking ministry (Facebook/Twitter) has also improved and increased, bringing hope and support to many who are lost.
  • Beth’s book launched and was a great success.
  • Alison started to write up her journey of joy and has become an advocate for the Down’s syndrome world.
  • We celebrated with Pearl who was ordained, and has also taken her Daniel Youth Ministry to new levels.
  • Vicky`s influence has increased significantly this year, in particular through speaking at Spring Harvest and at Oasis. She now pioneers the Transform Programme for the Oasis family.
  • Hannah Cramp & Emma Shaw got engaged!
  • Love in Action: Jude Thomas launched her Friends ministry in her local church and became the mentor of our local Love in Action groups.
  • Veronica continued to serve parents in her local area through the Mums and Company programme.

For all these things we thank the Lord and continue to be planted in His love and by the river of Life. (Psalm 1 & Eph 3:16) so that we can bring hope & love to those in need and who are lost.
