History girls take on a very special challenge

Last year she gave up drinking anything other than water for Lent, this year Abi Vicky and Abi 2Taylor is taking on a very different challenge altogether! Along with friends she made on a History course whilst at Uni, Abi and the girls will be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge on 25 June 2016. They are taking on this daunting and demanding walk in memory of Abi’s mum, Vicky (founder of Free Range Chicks) who sadly passed away last summer, following a short battle with cancer. The girls also want to raise money for the Dignity Project – set up by Vicky and a cause that is very close to Abi’s heart. The Dignity Project is raising money to help make it possible for girls to attend school in Malawi during their periods by providing sanitary pads as well as vital life education. The project has and is successfully training women in Malawi to make the pads for themselves and also set up their own local businesses.

Abi and her friends aim to raise as much money as possible for the Dignity Project – and as a fitting tribute to Vicky who touched so many lives in unquantifiable ways.

Why not check out their fundraising page and encourage Abi and the History Girls by sponsoring them for the challenge?!
