History Girls Making History for Dignity

Huge congratulations go to Abi Taylor and her History girls for completing the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge at the end of June.Abi Taylor and Girls

The intrepid and fearless group of 7 young women walked over 60000 steps (48km) and climbed the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden. They did it in an incredible 23 hours and 15 minutes. Not only that, but they completed it in atrocious weather conditions too.

Abi, Katie, Nicola, Rachel, Susie, Katie, and Amelia-Kate set off on their epic journey with one aim in mind – to Abi Taylor and History Girls Startraise money for the Dignity Project and in memory of Abi’s wonderful mum, Vicky Taylor, the founder of Free Range Chicks and also Dignity. The girls smashed their original target of raising £1500 and have actually raised over £3000. The Dignity project is supporting four schools in Malawi to provide better menstruation management resources and solutions for girls – vitally enabling them to continue in education. You can find out more about the Dignity project here. And it’s not too late to show your support for Abi and her friends – her fundraising page can be found here. More Free Range Chicks News
