Conference 2017 – Brave Hearts – Bold Ventures!

70 women gathered near Coventry for the 2017 FRC Conference ‘Brave Hearts, Bold Ventures’.  There was a great vibe as we opened gift bags with ‘Adventure Awaits’ journals, sweets for the journey and individual words and scriptures, and then we had fun talking on our tables about the things we would each choose to take on our bold venture!  Hellie Brunt was our

brave hearts 1inspiring guest speaker talking about Elijah and his encounter with the prophets of Baal.  Her teaching was really relevant and engaging, as we reflected on the fears that hold us back and how God can work through us if we allow him to. We then had a choice of worskshops with Shelly and Pearl, offering strength for the journey and ways to break barriers to being brave.

After a delicious lunch there was a fun team outdoor challenge, opportunities for craft activities, or time in the spa, before a panel session on using and interacting with social media – the good, the bad and the Godly!  The day finished with time to dress up, enjoy the banquet in a wonderfully decorated ballroom and be encouraged by Beth’s transformation into Wonderwoman before dancing the night away.

Sunday morning we had a time of worship, prayer, encouraging testimonies from many women about the bold ventures

brave hearts decorGod is taking them on, and a final teaching session from Hellie.  There was lots of positive feedback at the end of conference, but this sums it up well: “Just to say thank you for the opportunity to meet with such amazing people and to draw aside from every day activities to take time out to hear from God. To be challenged to step out and take that bold venture and to realise that we are not on our own but there are other women all over the country with a desire to follow the path that God has laid out for us. The atmosphere was full of love and acceptance and I was truly blessed.” A massive thank you to all the team that made such a brilliant conference possible once again.
