Above and Beyond

On Saturday 12th May, nearly 80 women gathered in Nottingham to explore what it means to live a life Above and Beyond.

Once the arrivals had chosen their gift jars, with a choice of 9 fillings including home-made lemon curd, hand scrub, wildflower seeds and chocolate, we kicked off the day witha and b jars a fun icebreaker.

Jess and the band then led us in a beautiful time of worship, followed by the inspirational story of how Louise Cooke was poked by God into starting the Sharewear Clothing Scheme.

Debbie Bullock then gave the first of two practical talks about how God has placed everything we need for a whole, healthy life inside our spirit, and the key to a life above and beyond is to learn how to access that instead of letting our body and souls take charge.

After a delicious lunch prepared by women from the Betel charity, we had a choice of workshops, reflective prayer activities and a powerful testimony about dealing with disappointment. And before we knew it, Debbie was rounding off a fantastic day.

It was wonderful to connect with so many women who hadn’t been along to a FRC event before, and we can`t wait to do it again!
