Celia Bowring (CARE) is Patron of Free Range Chicks and says:
“Free Range Chicks is, to be honest, quite a quirky outfit! We are an eclectic mix of women who share a passion to make Jesus known to others and encourage each other to become who God created us to be. We’ve seen remarkable answers to prayer and scores of people come to know Christ through friendship, local projects and some fantastic weekend conferences.”
We are a nondenominational, charitable, association of women who gather together nationally, at conferences and retreats, in order to take a break from our everyday lives. We meet corporately to refresh ourselves, focus our purpose, set our priorities, network with others, and have fun.
Meet the Team
Beth Moran joined the leadership team in 2011, and currently heads up Free Range Chicks Love. She has great fun organising women’s events, many of them including two of her favourite things – food and dancing. Beth is part of the leadership team at the thriving King`s Church in Nottingham, and a passionate communicator. She is also an author, and her first award-winning novel, ‘Making Marion‘ was published in June 2014. Her second ‘I hope You Dance‘ was published in September 2015 and her latest one ‘The Name I Call Myself’ was published in July 2016.
Alison Morley is married with a young family. Before having her gorgeous girls, she worked amongst children and young people in schools, youth clubs and churches. Alison has a heart for seeing their lives transformed by God and loves telling them about Jesus! She is a ‘Cliff’ fan and once nearly reversed her car into his! Alison is not only a Trustee of Free Range Chicks but also writes a wonderful blog about the challenges and delights of having a beautiful daughter with Down’s Syndrome.
Pearl Moses is a minister, solicitor and life coach. She is married to Ola, a precious Christian businessman and has a stepson named Ebenezer. Pearl’s ministry experience encompasses intercessory prayer, discipleship (including several years ministering to youth and women) and creative writing. Pearl is a legal professional with experience in private practice, legal publishing and dispute resolution. She currently manages the Law Society of England and Wales’ Risk and Compliance Service. Pearl is also an active supporter of a number of Christian ministries and a trustee of Free Range Chicks.
Jo Pestell is an ordained minister in the Church of England, currently working as a curate at Cheltenham Network Church. She is also working towards an MPhil in Theology. She is happily single and has enjoyed a varied career so far having worked in the defence industry, run a national charity and been operations director for two theological colleges. Family, friends, fun, food, beaches, walking, and photography are some of the things that make her smile, and she loves being an auntie. Alongside being a trustee of Free Range Chicks, she is an adviser to the BSL Bible Translation Project (bslbible.org.uk) and volunteers as a mentor for people being released from prison (MentorMe)
Vicky Taylor founded Free Range Chicks. She was a wonderful mother to four beloved children, Abi, Luke, Jon and Sam and a loving wife to Alastair. She was passionate about chocolate , personal and social responsibility, and seeing every life lived with purpose. In her day job, Vicky consulted and trained in education and was involved with SUMO4Schools.com and Oasis Colleges. She was full of life, enjoyed speaking, and successfully developed the art of keeping lots of plates spinning. Sadly for us, Vicky went home to be with Jesus, shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer, on Saturday 25th July 2015 at the age of 51. Her legacy lives on through the work of Free Range Chicks and Dignity
